Terms of Service

Terms of Service for formidably.life.

Last updated: 15 May 2026 Effective date: 15 May 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Formidably Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15228227 and trading as Formidably Life, governing your use of the Formidably Life service ("the Service"). Our registered address is Unit A Crescent Trade Park, Redditch B98 9DZ.

By creating an account or using the Service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms. If you are creating an account on behalf of a household that includes children, you confirm you are the responsible adult for those child accounts.

2. The Service

formidably.life is a connected household management system. It includes calendar integration, household location sharing, task management, habit tracking, meal planning, and related features. Features are added and updated over time; we will notify you of material changes.

3. Subscription and Payment

3.1 Pricing

formidably.life is offered on a household subscription basis at GBP 24.99 per month (or an introductory rate as stated at sign-up). One subscription covers up to 8 household members.

3.2 Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically on the same day each month. You authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on the renewal date. All prices are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable.

3.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months unless required by law. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment (the statutory cooling-off period), you are entitled to a full refund.

3.4 Price Changes

We will give you at least 30 days notice of any price increase. If you do not cancel before the change takes effect, continued use constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Household Accounts

The person who creates the household account ("the household administrator") is responsible for all activity under that account, including activity by household members they invite or create profiles for. The administrator controls access permissions for all members.

You must not share your login credentials with anyone outside your household. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

5. Calendar Integration

When you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar, you grant us OAuth access to read and write to that calendar as described in the Privacy Policy. You may disconnect at any time. We are not responsible for any events created, edited, or deleted through the integration as a result of your instructions.

We are not affiliated with Google LLC or Microsoft Corporation. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services independently.

6. Location Sharing

Household location sharing is voluntary. You choose whether to share your location and which mode applies. Location data is only visible to members of your household. The household administrator can enable or disable location sharing for individual members.

You must obtain the consent of any adult household member before enabling location sharing for them. For child members, consent is provided by the household administrator in their capacity as responsible adult.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users' data.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Transmit malware or any code designed to interfere with the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to access the Service in a manner that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

8. Intellectual Property

The formidably.life service, including its design, features, and underlying software, is owned by Formidably Ltd or licensed to us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service.

You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

9. Availability and Modifications

We aim to provide the Service with high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or changes to the Service from time to time. For planned downtime we will give reasonable notice where possible.

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service. For material changes we will give at least 30 days notice by email. If a change materially reduces the Service, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your subscription.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, our total liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for: loss of profits, loss of data (beyond what is covered by our backup obligations), indirect or consequential losses, or losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we have reasonable grounds to believe your use of the Service is harming other users or our systems. We will give you notice where possible before termination, except where immediate action is necessary for security reasons.

On termination, your access ends immediately. We will retain your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and delete it within 30 days of account closure (subject to legal retention requirements).

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We will always try to resolve disputes informally first. Contact us at contact form before initiating formal proceedings.
